Around the World and to Your Plate

As your day of exploring and taking in the beauty of the island comes to a close, there’s no better place to relax over food and drink like Backdoor Kitchen. This hidden gem really is hidden, but that makes what’s inside that much more enticing. The approach through a vacant parking lot seems off-putting until you reach the front entryway. With pleasant lighting and greenery, the gate invites you into a beautifully landscaped courtyard area perfect for an outdoor meal on a warm summer evening. Inside is a modern, well-crafted and intimate setting complete with a tucked away bar area.

For 15 years now, Lee & Sasha Hilderman have been mastering and reinventing flavors from around the world to create a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. “They travel to a new foreign destination every year and come back inspired. They cook everything fresh, with top notch ingredients,” states a former supplier.

Backdoor Kitchen’s cuisine is anything but ordinary. Adventurous? Maybe. Delicious? Definitely. With layers upon layers of flavor, you’ll find yourself trying to decipher just where in the world each comes from. If you can’t figure it out, the friendly staff or the chef’s themselves are always happy to give a bit of insight. The bar features 12 exquisite specialty cocktails, each named as they are numbered (No. 1, No. 2, etc…), as well as custom cocktails suited to fit your fancy, a small selection of beer and an elaborate wine list. Be sure to make reservations. They do get busy in the summer months...and for good reason.
